Music Class
Our music class is designed to cater to a wide range of interests and skill levels. The class offers specialized instruction in several instruments, along with music theory and vocal development, allowing students to find their passion and develop their musical abilities.
1. Recorder: Students in 2nd & 3rd grade are introduced to recorders. The recorder is an excellent introductory instrument for young musicians. It helps students learn the basics of reading music, rhythm, and breath control. Our recorder classes are fun and engaging, providing a strong foundation for future musical endeavors.
2. Ukulele: Students in 4th & 5th grade are introduced to the ukulele. The ukulele is a versatile and accessible instrument that brings joy and creativity to the learning process. Students learn chords, strumming patterns, and simple songs, enabling them to play a variety of music genres. Our ukulele classes foster teamwork and collaboration as students often play together in ensembles.
3. Violin & Hand chimes: Students 6th-8th grade are introduced to the violin and hand chimes. These are beautiful and expressive instruments that challenges students to develop precision and discipline. Instruction includes instruction in technique, music theory, and performance. Students have opportunities to perform solo and in groups, showcasing their progress and talent.
4. Music Theory: Through our music class at all grades levels, students gain an understanding of music theory as essential cornerstone for all musicians. Our music class covers the fundamentals of music notation, harmony, rhythm, and composition. Students gain a deeper understanding of how music works and develop the skills to create their own compositions.
5. Vocal Development: Through our music class at all grade levels, students learn proper vocal techniques, including breath control, pitch, tone, and diction. These skills prepare them for solo performances and choir participation.
Choir After school Program
Our choir elective is open to students who love to sing and wish to improve their vocal abilities. The choir program emphasizes proper vocal technique, sight-reading, and harmony. Students will explore a diverse repertoire of music, from classical to contemporary, and perform in various school and community events.

Facilities and Resources
All Saints Catholic School currently uses the the gym and facilities at the North side Boys & Girls Club for its physical education classes for 1st-8th grades. Physical education for PK & Kindergarten take place on school grounds.
Extracurricular Opportunities
In addition to regular physical education classes, All Saints offers various extracurricular sports programs and clubs. Students have the opportunity to join school teams, participate in our diocesan sports program, and engage in after-school fitness activities.
